Carter Collab Mural through The Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort Worth, Texas
Located at Rosemont Middle School, FWISD
This mural was the result of a year-long collaboration with the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. It was the first project funded and completed through their “Carter Collab” program which matches a participating organization with a Carter Community Artist to create an original work of art, while drawing inspiration from the Carter’s Collection and the artist’s practice.
Students helped conceptualize the overall design, and hand-drawn dandelion seeds made by each student were incorporated into the final mural. Over the course of 4 weeks, students participated in observing and helping paint the mural, which is located on the main wall of their school’s courtyard / basketball court where the majority of students can see and access it daily.
